Keeping your calendar up to date is essential for managing your pet care services on Floofy. A well-maintained calendar helps you receive requests that you can accept. The more requests you accept, the better your booking rate will be, which increases the chances of pet owners choosing you as their carer.
In this guide, we’ll explain how to use Floofy’s calendar feature to manage your availability for specific dates and services.
Pro Tip
You can sync your calendar with Google Calendar or iCal! To do this, select Sync your calendar below your service availability.
Calendar Basics
Your services are colour-coded, so you can quickly see your availability. Each day shows what services you offer, how many bookings you have, and how many pets you can take on. For example:
- If you’re available to care for 2 pets on Tuesdays and have 2 booked, it will say “2/2 booked” for that day.
- If you’re unavailable for all services, a slash will appear.
How to Edit Your Availability for Specific Dates
On the Website
- Click on the day you want to edit on your calendar, or click and drag your mouse to select multiple dates.
- A pop-up will appear. You can either edit each service individually and select Save or select Mark all services as unavailable if you won’t be available for any services. To reset the number of spaces to your default, choose Reset to default.
- Your changes will now show on your calendar.
Note: Changes made for a specific date will override your regular availability. This means that if you usually offer services on weekends but are away, you won’t accidentally show as available for that weekend.
On Mobile:
- Tap Calendar.
- To edit a specific day, tap the date you need to update, then select Edit my availability. Here, you can adjust your capacity and availability.
- To edit availability for consecutive days, tap the start and end dates, then select whether to mark those dates as available or unavailable.
- When finished, select Save changes.
Note: You can only edit capacity for one day at a time.
Calendar View
Your calendar in Floofy will show different colours for bookings and availability:
- White: Fully available (0 bookings)
- Yellow: Partially booked
- Red: Fully booked
- Grey with diagonal slashes: Unavailable
How to Edit Your Ongoing Availability
On the Website
- Go to your calendar by selecting your name in the upper right corner and then Calendar.
- On the left side, click the arrow next to the service you want to update.
- Check or uncheck the boxes as needed. A checked box means you’re available for that service on that day each week.
On Mobile
- Open the app and tap the Calendar icon.
- Tap the gear icon (iOS) or the three dots (Android) in the upper right corner for settings.
- For the service you want to update, tap Daily availability.
- Select the usual days and times you’ll be available.
Note: If you don’t accept requests for days you’re available often, some of your services may be automatically set to Away mode. That’s why it’s important to keep your calendar updated.
What Else Can I Do with My Calendar?
You can sync your Floofy calendar with iCal or Google Calendar to view upcoming requests.
On the Website
- Go to your calendar by clicking your name in the upper right corner and selecting Calendar.
- Click Sync your calendar on the left side of the page.
On Mobile:
- Tap on Profile icon.
- Tap on Account.
- Tap Calendar, scroll down, and select Sync your calendar. Choose what you want to sync, then tap Add to iCal or Add to Google Calendar.
