All carers on Floofy are required to verify their identity through our verification partner, Onfido. Here’s how to complete the process:
- Upload a clear, full-colour government-issued ID (e.g. driving licence (preferred), passport, or National ID card). Make sure the file is in JPG or PNG format, with a size between 32kb and 10MB (PDFs aren’t accepted).
- Take a photo of your face using your computer or smartphone camera, or upload a recent photo (less than 24 hours old) from your device.
What to do if your ID verification fails:
If your verification fails, it could be due to one of the following reasons:
- The document is not one of the accepted types (a driving licence is preferred).
- The document is expired.
- The document is partially covered or cut off.
- The document doesn’t include a photo.
- The file is not in JPG or PNG format, or the size isn’t between 32kb and 10MB.
- The photo or document is blurry or low-resolution.
- Your appearance has significantly changed from the photo on the ID.
- The photo includes more than one person or isn’t a clear, passport-style headshot.
- The photo is heavily edited.
If any of these issues occurred, just re-submit your documents, making sure they meet the guidelines. Once your verification is successful, your carer profile will go live, and you’ll receive an email notification.
If the issue persists or you believe your verification failed because:
- Your profile name doesn’t match the name on your document.
- Your date of birth doesn’t match what’s on your document or Floofy profile.
