Archiving Requests (Why, When, and How)
You should archive any requests you can’t book, but make sure to reply to the pet owner first! Replying is crucial because if you don’t respond to a message within 24 hours, your carer profile may be set to “away” until you update your status.
Archiving requests you can’t book is also important because if an unbooked request stays in your inbox for 24 hours or longer, it indicates that you’re busy or unavailable. This can reduce your visibility, meaning potential pet owners might not be able to find you for those dates.
How to Archive a Request
- Go to your Inbox by clicking the conversation icon.
- Select Pending Requests.
- Find the request you want to archive.
- Click Archive and choose the reason for archiving from the dropdown menu.
Response Rate
Your response rate shows how often you reply to requests within 24 hours. This is an important factor that affects your search ranking, so responding quickly is key to growing your pet care services and being noticed by pet owners.
